Stacey Schacter Joins University of Pittsburgh for New Venture Initiation Panel

In 2022, Stacey Schacter served as an industry partner, advisor, and panelist for student entrepreneurs as part of the University of Pittsburgh’s Entrepreneurship and New Venture Initiation program run by professor Sharon A. Alvarez. This program focuses on preparing students for the realities of entrepreneurship by providing a hands-on experience. As part of their curriculum, four teams of students formed a business, including creating an advisory board, identifying customers, and creating a business plan.

In December, the students presented their business plans at MHR Fund Management in New York, pitching their ideas to a panel in a Shark Tank style presentation. Stacey joined the panel of “sharks” along side Jason Caloras, Principal at MHR Fund Management; Jeffrey Marron, Managing Partner at Sheridan Asset Management; and Chris Donohoe. The students impressed the panel with their professionalism and preparedness.

Stacey is proud to have helped advise these promising students and to have a hand in preparing the next generation of entrepreneurs.
